Its future football team, the Raiders, was about to draft a new player, presumably one that would be a star by the time the franchise is scheduled to relocate here in 2020. But the large screens showing the NFL draft set up in the plaza outside T-Mobile Arena before the game attracted little interest. Reaction to the Raiders’ draft machinations was nonexistent. No Raiders jerseys were seen in the happy crowd. Las Vegas resident Buggy Kliger, who was standing in line to get a permanent Knights tattoo before the game.
